We stopped by a work party for Kim at this brewery in Memphis

On the road Friday

Sunset at Discovery Place, near Union City, Tennessee

Judy and Jenny arrived before us and had to model their eclipse glasses. You cannot see a thing through them in regular light!

Neon at the Coke plant – so good to see it all lit up again!

More neon at the Coke plant – we enjoyed great pizzas at the new Mellow Mushroom here.

Suzanne, Virginia, Kim, Linda, and Kim met for lunch at JPs

Jenny, Judy, Vicki, Judy, Mary, Jan, and Mary had lunch at Jasmine

After lunch, Judy and Jenny learned the short history of Paducah by looking at the floodwall murals. This one is looking down Broadway, several decades ago

The old Market House – today, we saw an art exhibit here.

Love this mural panel that looks like an old scrapbook.

Paducah was called The Atomic City because of the uranium enrichment ‘bomb factory’ run by Union Carbide and the AEC. That’s where our dad worked.

We had to stop in for Curls & Cream rolled ice cream

Ice cream break!

Need some Happy gum?

Even the mannequins are prepared for the eclipse!

What a fun start! I must get to Paducah one day!
